CLIENT: Roman Catholic Diocese of Raleigh
MARKET POSITION: The Roman Catholic Diocese of Raleigh comprises the 54 eastern counties of North Carolina, covering approximately 32,000 square miles and ministers to the needs of about 500,000 Catholics.
BACKGROUND:
The Diocese of Raleigh is a fast-growing diocese and is divided into eight deaneries with a total of 96 parishes, missions and stations and seven centers for campus ministry. The Diocese is served by 120 active Diocesan and Religious Order Priests. On June 8, 2006, Pope Benedict XVI appointed the Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge the fifth Bishop of Raleigh, succeeding Bishop Emeritus F. Joseph Gossman. Bishop Burbidge was installed August 4, 2006 and has overseen its rapid growth, especially in the Hispanic community.
CHALLENGE:
The growth of the Diocese had increased internal demand for specific marketing efforts to a number of verticals.
SOLUTION:
In 2007 AVISO began partnering with Diocese Office of Vocation and the Office of Planned Giving to assist their internal communications team with these two niche markets. All of the promotional materials that we have produced embody the brand of the diocese and includes posters, vocations website, Ordination Invitations, tee-shirts, pins and advertisements, newsletters and advertisements for the NC Catholic diocese magazine.
